E421 – Adele and Cyrus: Biking While Expecting

Adele hasn’t been on the show in a while, and that’s because she’s been working on a secret project with Brock: they have a bun in the oven!  That’s right, little baby Cyrus is preparing for birth into the world as we speak, and Adele joins the show to fill us in on what it’s like to continue bicycling into pregnancy.  It’s not all fun and games, but haters gonna hate, and there aren’t that many haters, really.  And there is a lot of fun to be had!

As always, thanks to our drink sponsor The Beer Mongers & our generous Patreon donors.

Also, Bicycle/Race, Adonia Lugo’s “…unforgettable picture of Los Angeles — and the United States — from the perspective of two wheels” is available from Microcosm Publishing and wherever you get your books.

E417 – Chris Talks Autonomous Vehicles

Chris Smith has been a community transportation advocate (in his spare time!) for about 20 years, and thinks a lot about how our streets work.  Who better to explain the coming autonomous vehicle revolution from the perspective of Portland, Oregon?  I, for one, welcome our new overlords!  Did I say overlords? I meant protectors.  How does all of this work, how safe is it, and who’s running this thing, anyways? {redacted}

E393 – Dr. Peter Furth

Dr. Peter Furth is a smart guy who thinks about how people get around, and a friend of our former guest Peter Koonce who sent us his way.  He spoke with Brock at his office a few days before Christmas in his office on the Northeastern University campus; the conversation ranged from traffic logistics to bicycling stress, and it was great to hear the passion in Peter’s voice when he talks about how things could be.

We’ll be back soon with more in-studio episodes.  Have a great new year!
