E267 REBROADCAST Daniel Harkins Saves the Forest

this is a rebroadcast of our episode with Daniel from 2015!
we look forward to bringing you another new studio show next week.

Daniel Harkins is our friend, a member of Team Sincerity, and also was deployed through the National Guard to fight wildfires in Washington state’s forested areas.  We invite him in to ask about his experiences and what he learned about the forest while he was there.

Also: Brock and Aaron go to Terry’s cross race, and Brock has a question.

E516 – Sebastièn Poule!

Image from page 62 of “Wheels and wheeling; an indispensable handbook for cyclists, with over two hundred illustrations” (1892)

We speak with long-time listener, donor, and friend of the show Sebastièn Poule about his experiences with bicycling and mechanics in Sonoma County, and a little about public land and wildlife encounters!  He’s the one who founded the Sprocket Podcast Strava Club, gave us our podcast logo mugs, contributed many comments and emails, and is an all-around fun person to talk to.

Been following the show long?  This could be your chance to put your voice into the conversation – with all of the remote interviews we’ve been recording, there’s no better time to share your experiences and stories with us!  Be in touch!

E515 – Keith rides the Indy Underground

It’s a good time to reach out to our long-time donors and friends of the show – quarantining ourselves from our studio and our usual in-person interviews opens up the opportunity to connect with folks who have been with us for awhile.  Today: Keith Hutchison, listener and supporter from Indianapolis, who’s an instigator in the city’s bike fun scene when he’s not exploring unpaved and hidden scenes of the city to check out birds and secret graffiti galleries.  Check out Keith’s instagram and follow events through GentleFolks Bicycle Riding and Exploration Society of Indianapolis or Bike Party Indianapolis!

E513 – Tim Mooney, not touring, and SprocketShift Happy Hour #5 SCHOOL NIGHT

Tim Mooney joins us as a perennial friend of the show and, of course, host of Pedalshift, the definitely best show on the internet about bicycle touring!  He recently completed a “wilderness style” no-contact tour of the C & O Trail near Washington, DC before the campsites were closed, and ruminates with us on the future of bicycle touring after a global pandemic affects us all.

We also present as the second half of this episode the SprocketShift Happy Hour #5 we conducted together right after taping the show, talking about how we’re spending our “school nights.”
