We spend four hours at The Beer Mongers (at SE Division & 12th!) for the season launch party of the Beer Mongers Cyclocross Team!  This noisy recording contains Brock & Aaron asking members of the team questions about their cross racing experience, as well as a 40th birthday party’s celebrants, Adele’s take on the summer hiking adventure, and Brock & Aaron commenting on obscure things.

Madi Carlson is the author of Urban Cycling and the @familyride twitter feed.  She decided to do a long ride with the assistance of her friend Fat Rob from Seattle to Portland!  Aaron met them in Woodland, WA and ushered them back into our town.  Their friend, and ours, Shawn Granton of the Urban Adventure League, also joins to talk routes and tips on long rides.


E298 – Mariana Goes Beach Camping



Mariana Mo from Thursday Night Ride and other Portland bike scene events took a backpacking trip to the beach after finishing college, and camped out for about three months living the good life, thinking deep thoughts and meeting great people.  We ask what it takes to have such a compelling adventure!

Renee works to make sure there is transit access to popular outdoors destinations in the Columbia River Gorge by helping to manage outreach and marketing for the West End Transit (WET) Bus in Washington State’s Skamania County!  Get to the trailhead without a car with the help of Friends of the Columbia Gorge!

Brock climbed 3200 feet and saw Peter Koonce, and Aaron stared at a “family” meeting in Mexico, and is looking for a house to move into.
