E547 – Todd Groesbeck!

Todd Groesbeck is one of our loyal supporter who’s been listening since 2016, and joins us to discuss adventures (and misadventures) by bike, mechanical failures, and kerosene lanterns, among other things.  It was a pleasure to spend some time together!  Check out his artwork at toddgroesbeck.com

Also, as always, thanks to our nationally recognized “top beer bar in Oregon” beverage sponsor, The Beer Mongers on SE12th and Division, now open for more than 4,000 days consecutively. They have a patio outside the place and, if you’re lucky, you might be able to catch some sports with sound.  The big stick remains indoor on the ceiling.  And, as always, thanks to our generous Patreon donors that keep us going!

WINTER BIKE LIGHTS
We are pausing the calendar til things are a bit safer, and we don’t have any mail this week. But! We do have something fun. With the pandemic and lack of social outings, winter is looking a bit bleak, so we are asking listeners to decorate your bikes with any extra fun lights, take a photo, and share it with us on any of our social media. Bring a bit of cheer to our days without much daylight. Use the hashtag #sprocketwinterbike
of course we encourage you to follow any and all locally applicable regulations when riding your bicycle on public roadways.

CALENDAR

will be live streaming a Basic Maintenance Course featuring Cassandra, her partner Sydney, and housemate/BF Mateo. In which we plan on overloading viewers and participant with compliments and helpful tips!

  1. Since I didn’t commute much in 2020, (which is when I usually listen to my podcasts) I am so far behind in episodes. I’m loving the new format, with interchanging hosts. Welcome, Joan and Armando.

I also love listening to the mixed content, which includes hearing about some of your non-local fans and supporters. You’ve done a great job of creating something positive out of 2020.

This episode was a great interview with Todd Groesbeck, who I never new was an artist. I’m now a huge fan of his work and now follow his Instagram account.
