E540 – OMTea! (with Lillian Karabaic of Oh My Dollar)

Lillian Karabaic is the founder of the wildly successful personal finance website (AKA “lifestyle blog” 🙂 ) Oh My Dollar! And today we talk to her about not only the confounding nature of a bicycle commuter learning to work from home but also the challenge of creating a non-alcoholic whiskey substitute!  Brock & Armando both tried OMTea and loved it, and in this conversation you may discover why you will too!

Today’s Episode is brought to you in part by the generous support of Gregory Braithwaite. Go check out his youtube channel BikeVids!

Also, as always, thanks to our nationally recognized “top beer bar in Oregon” beverage sponsor, The Beer Mongers on SE12th and Division, now open for more than 4,000 days consecutively. They have a patio outside the place and, if you’re lucky, you might be able to catch some sports with sound.  The big stick remains indoor on the ceiling.

And, as always, thanks to our generous Patreon donors that keep us going!

E463b – Ben Flores’ Charity Ride

Aaron’s brother Ben Flores calls in to let us know about a charity event he’s raising money for and riding in.  We get the details on #TeamNegroni’s campaign and how it helps the families of service industry workers in crisis.  Aaron is joined in studio by producer Brock Dittus & this week’s show guest Patrick Mok.

E405 – Lillian Karabaic: Moar Purrsonal Finance!

Lillian Karabaic, perhaps best known in bicycling circles as the leader of the Bowie vs. Prince bicycle ride in Portland, is the host of Oh My Dollar, a personal finance advice show for the rest of us!  We’re proud of what she’s put together as we’ve been able to watch her build it.  She’s also put together a cat-themed workbook through a kickstarter campaign that you really should get a copy of.  More purrsonal finance talk than you can shake a stick at!

Also thanks to our drink sponsor The Beer Mongers for generously providing our libations, and our generous Patreon donors for underwriting our operating costs!

Marcus Norman – Re: 400th episode & Brock’s soon-to-be-child: “Bike tours teach you to believe in yourself, be ready for anything, be self-reliant (to a degree anyway), make meeting people easier, cost you as much or as little as you like and leave you feeling open for the next adventure. THIS MAY BE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IN RAISING A KID.”
