E350 – Aaron & Anna In Hawaii, with Tim Mooney

For this 350th episode, we welcome long-time friend and collaborator Tim Mooney from the Pedalshift Project back to the studio!  He’s here to interview Aaron & Anna about their adventures in Hawaii as only he can, and to examine the finer details of traveling with a folding bicycle, particularly when a certain airline really messes them up.

Also, Brock & Aaron Green lead a group of cycle tourists into the sunshine, were Brock meets a ranger and loses his wife near Venersborg.

E345 – Megan Ramey from Bikabout

Megan Ramey had a vision to simplify the good trip.  Why fret over car rentals, unfamiliar expressways with angry drivers, and spend half of your time dreading the drives to come when you could explore cities the way they are best experienced – by bike?  She and her family have been living the dream for some time, guiding others into relaxing, human-scaled city tours with their travel guides, and getting there in style on Amtrak.  We get the skinny on Bikabout.

E343 – Sarah Iannarone For Portland

Sarah Iannarone is the once and future queen of Portland.  In her bid for the last mayoral election she lobbied for safer and better streets as a means to equity for all residents of the city, and she is the only car-free mayoral candidate we can think of!  Crossing town by bus, foot and long-tailed cargo bike, she has enough good ideas for ten shows.  AND she serves the best biscuits & gravy around.  Here’s an hour, anyways!

Cory Poole returns to talk about what it’s like to travel with a skateboard in a new city, whether that’s his recent trip to San Diego or your upcoming trip to Portland.  How does it work as you try to find your way around?  What should you know before you go?  We also chat a bit about skating with a young child in the city and what the law requires of us.

Also: Aaron and Anna “lived the revolution” and Aaron received a lot of hugs. Brock rented a car2go for a long trip when another option fell through.
