Our friend Ross Putnam from Base Camp Brewing helped to put a street party together in front of his brewery. Collabofest 2017 featured 16 local breweries working together to experiment and innovate; we went to taste some collaboratively created beers, meet some people, and enjoy the crisp winter day with friends!
Today we have Tom McTighe and Tom Howe of Puddlecycle in studio to detail what it’s like to lead people through a wet or cold season of bike fun. Also, Paula Funatake of Funatake Cycle Craft was this year’s guest host winner at Cranksgiving 2016 and steps in to ask a few questions of the Puddcycle crew.
Also: Brock & Aaron discuss cold weather camping and choking on tapioca pearls, amongst other things.
Guthrie Straw took a trip to India to join his best friend’s wedding, and stayed around for a month to bicycle tour with his sister. Snakes, elephants, and surprisingly intuitive traffic flow kept him alert and entertained! We get the whole story on what to expect from such a venture.
Sean Stroup is working on the Gateway Green project in Portland, Oregon, a planned trail riding park that will leverage a large unused property on the east side of town to allow for the first real recreational off-road bicycling within city limits! What will it take to make it a reality?

Brock & Aaron get together to recap 2016’s best moments! We recall our top 5 events or adventures (Brock’s in order, Aaron’s nonsequential), and chat about Aaron’s holiday brunch and Brock’s brewery hike in Boston & radio appearance on WMBR’s Bike Talk.
